"Tichelle" is now available at: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/michaelmccabe2 Yes, I'm excited about the release of my brand new songs "Krisomas" and "Tichelle" from my new album "Together As One" (Out of the Blue Records). I'll be releasing only one single at a time from the "Together As One" disc. And for those that would like to learn how play "Krisomas", the sheet music is available in notation and tab.

Here's more info: "Krisomas" (Kris-O-mus) was composed for Kristin and Thomas's wedding and performed as a special song during their ceremony. "Krisomas" was composed with Kristin and Thomas's personalities in mind. The title "Krisomas" is a combination of their first names which is the theme to "Together As One".

Back in 1993 I was performing for a wedding ceremony and was asked to play about a minute of "anything" that sounded sweet and appropriate. I improvised a short song that was just that, short and sweet and to the point. They liked it and I enjoyed that spontaneous improvisation and thought of doing more of the same. A few years later I was asked to perform for my wife's niece, Tonya and her fiancé Matt's wedding ceremony. I had been working on a song that I presented to her. She was unaware it was my song and I didn't tell her it was mine thinking she might want a popular one instead. I remember her saying, "I like that one". I did perform it at their wedding and it worked out wonderfully. In titling this composition I couldn't think of one that was appropriate, so, after some time I thought about combining their first names into one unique title. By doing this, it will tie this song to their very special event, their wedding day. This song now has become "Mattonya" which is found on my release, "Beyond Words".

Since then I have written fourteen more songs in the same manner. I'll include "Mattonya" as a fifteenth song (there's rumor that a bonus track will be added) as it was the inspiration for the "Together As One" project. I'll be releasing "Together As One" as a download only. When I've released all the songs for "Together As One" I'll consider releasing a disc. Thanks to a spontaneous request to improvise, I was able to create an entire collection of lovely songs with a beautiful "Special Day" theme.
